Meet Dr. Murphy

Dr. MurphyDr. Joseph Murphy graduated in 1982 from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California. His early passion for his education placed him at the top of his class as senior class president and earned him the Senior Student award and the Prince award for Student of the Year. This passion continued in his professional career receiving his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 1997, Dentist of the Year 1989-1990 by the Tenth District Dental Society and Dentist of the Year finalist at the Texas Academy of General Dentistry in 1991. Doctor Murphy’s active involvement in the community has resulted in numerous awards and recognitions from the Round Rock School District as a partner in education spanning the last 31 years. Doctor Murphy has also been involved with the Round Rock Rotary Club for 15 years serving as club president 1988-1989 and honored with the Paul Harris Fellow award. When he’s not practicing, Doctor Murphy enjoys attending University of Texas sporting events with his wife, Karen, and daughter, Jenny, strategy board gaming with his grandson, Conner, and scuba diving. Doctor Murphy represented the country as a member of the 1992 Paralympic swim team in Barcelona, Spain.
